BP Service Station, Jindalee, Perth WA - ACO StormBrixx® Project
BP is a British multinational oil and gas company. An Australian employer of around 5,200 staff, its history of operations dates to 1919 at its first fuel terminal in Fremantle, WA. The company recently undertook construction of another new service station in the Perth suburb of Jindalee. In addition to its 24/7 retail operations, it will sell petroleum products and operate a manual and automatic car wash facility.
Project Design Brief
The design had to incorporate an underground stormwater tank to deal with runoff from the site without connecting to any downstream drainage infrastructure. An infiltration tank was required that would release stormwater gradually into the surrounds. Engineers needed a strong, quick to assemble tank which could be maintained easily.
